About 6,800 years ago, Mount Mazama
collapsed to produce Crater lake.
Mount Mazama was one of the major
volcanoes of the Cascade Range.
Before Mount Mazama collapsed,
its summit was between 11,000 and 12,000 feet.
The lake is about 1,932 feet deep
and the water is almost crystal clear.

The Conger Street Clock Museum
The Conger Street Clock Tower
This clock tower mechanism was built about 1780 and the
pendulum is 13 feet long. It takes almost 4 seconds
for the pendulum to complete one cycle.
This old clock tower mechanism is just one of the many
